"Connect, Grow, Serve" is a phrase that represents steps along the path to faith maturity. We seek to be followers of Jesus who connect deeply with Him and with one another; grow mature as disciples through the study of God's Word; and serve Him personally, locally, and globally.
Connect (Koinonia)
The Bible uses the Greek word koinonia meaning deep connection (communion) by intimate participation. The basis of koinonia begins with the mystery of how Jesus joins with the community of the faithful. "Connecting" is a great first step as you form a relationship with Jesus and with a diverse group of people who are also on a spiritual journey toward faith maturity.
Places for Connecting (A Starter Menu)
Worship (Sunday Mornings at 8:00 and 10:45 AM, Wednesday at 6:30 PM)
The group might be larger but the welcome is warm. You can begin connecting more deeply with Jesus on a weekly basis. Children are invited to worship with their parents. A nursery is available for litttle ones (or their parents) who need one. If you complete a visitor card, we'll know you stopped by.
Adult Bible Classes - 9:30-10:30 AM (church lower level)
High School Youth Bible Class - 9:30-10:30 AM (church lower level)
Sunday School - 9:30-10:30 AM (school building)
L.I.F.E. Groups (Living in Faith Everyday)
These "small group" gatherings of 6 to 20 people meet in homes and offices and even on the Zion Campus Want something a little less churchy?
Okay, we get it. If you are just taking your first step into checking out a faith community, we might seem scary. A great entry point for you might be somewhere other than Sunday morning worship. How about...
The weekly blue pages in the worship folder and the monthly newsletters are full of places you can connect. We'd be happy to send you those. Please feel free to call Pastor Brian or Jill Hasstedt at 618-233-2299 or click on Contact Us
